Acacia Hardwood

Acacia is ideal for many different projects from furniture to flooring and with more than 1,000 Acacia species across the globe, adapting to many climates from temperate to tropical to desert, you would be hard pressed to find a corner of the world it’s not accessible.

As Acacia trees grow, they absorb CO2 from the atmosphere while releasing oxygen. This means that they are taking greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere and pumping out oxygen, helping to mitigate the climate crisis.

Acacia trees grow fast and can take hold in almost any soil type. They do not need fertiliser and rarely need pesticides reducing the chemicals involved and keeping a better balance in the surrounding soil.

Due to the speed Acacia can grow and it diverse ability to grow, it is much more readily available than wood from endangered species such as Teak and Mahogany we can replenish and sustain the carefully looked after forests of Acacia.

Acacia trees can yield several products such as gum Arabic which is used as a versatile and natural ingredient in many items such as food and drinks, tannin which is used in inks and pharmaceuticals as well as many others. The multipurpose nature of an acacia tree means it is more sustainable to harvest its timber.

But what does this all mean to me you may be asking?

Well, as Acacia trees grow fast, can be harvested for other products besides timber, have a long lifespan, adapt to many climates and absorb CO2, Acacia wood a very sustainable option so what’s not to love.

Composite (WPC)

Wood Plastic Composites (WPCs) are engineered wood products that recycle wood flour or fibres from different stages of other timber products. Using wood waste is a tell-tale sign of their sustainability and making use of recycled polymers results in a cost-competitive product that offers a lighter environmental footprint.

They are the ideal green sustainable solution that makes use of organic material with virgin, recycled or renewable plastics.

Thanks to the very low maintenance, composite wood being moisture resistant and only requiring basic cleaning the longevity, reduced maintenance resulting in fewer repairs gives you a long lasting beautiful deck.

Overall, our Click-Deck Decking Products offer an affordable, attractive and conscious way to transform your garden, balcony, roof terrace and much more.
